At the end of a quiet side road by the Ouachita National Forest with a small rock bottom creek running behind the cabin, yet only 0.8 miles to the restaurants and shops on Lukfata Trl. Formally named “Hook Wine & Sinker” and newly managed, this relaxed rustic lodge style cabin was designed to draw its guests outdoors where many hours of relaxation in its forest setting will occupy your time. Can handle 18 of your family and friends.
There are two long, hand crafted, wood dining tables with benches inside this open floor plan lodge with a large kitchen. Along with a table set with chairs outside, and seating at the beautiful granite island, everyone has a place at the table.
Fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, dishes and tableware – everything you need for in-cabin meals.
Enjoy the view from the living room windows looking out to the forest all around where deer are often seen (I saw one the first time I drove up in the morning) or enjoy a cool breeze and bird song comfortably seated outside on the covered deck where there’s a hot tub and propane grill, while the kids explore the creek within sight and hearing distance of the deck.
Four king bedrooms with TV’s, one bunkroom and a gameroom queen sleeper couch plus a kids loft with two full size beds that can sleep four kids. 4.5 bathrooms. On the main floor one bedroom with private full bathroom, the rest are upstairs. Three king bedrooms upstairs each have a full bathroom, two of these bathrooms also open to the hallway for access from the bunkroom and gameroom. The gameroom queen sofa sleeper is also on the upper level, plus a third level kids loft with winding staircase where there are two full size, low platform beds that sleep 4 kids.
6.5 miles to the nearest boat launch on Broken Bow Lake along with swim beaches.
11 miles to the Forest Heritage Center down in the middle of Beavers Bend State Park below the dam where the Lower Mountain Fork River meanders through the hills, where there are all levels of hiking trails – free trail maps at the Heritage Center!
4 miles to Cedar Creek Trl, a popular park and ride and entryway to the beautiful and wild Quachita National Forest with its many miles of old logging roads and trails for off highway vehicle use and some trails that are reserved for hiking along the ridgetops and valleys of these wild and beautiful hills.
